HVC SHOJI 16-1 is the 16U team from Hawaii Volleyball Club (HVC), an elite Honolulu-based program founded to unite top youth players under legendary coach Dave Shoji, son of UH coaching icon Mike Shoji. Coached by Dave Shoji and Matt Sonnichsen, the team competes in AAU Hawaii events. As of mid-February 2026 standings, they hold 282 points in the 18U overall rankings with a recent -6 point adjustment after 10 events, placing them solidly in the top 20.
