Leaside Volleyball Club, founded in 2008 by Olympic bronze medalist John Child, serves the Toronto and Greater Toronto Area with competitive and recreational volleyball programming. The club operates 20 youth teams (14 girls' and 6 boys') ranging from 12U to 18U, competing in the Ontario Volleyball Association's Indoor Competition circuit at high provincial and national levels. Many athletes advance to play volleyball at post-secondary institutions in Canada and the United States.
